Over
the years, I've had to help so many customers with computer software
setup and troubleshooting, and even just general tips, that I
decided to see if there were enough people interested in meeting
once a week, here at the store, to do a Cakewalk workshop. If
you've always wanted to learn about recording with your computer,
or you already have a recording setup but would like some pointers
or tips on how to get more from it, this workshop may be right
up your alley. We will discuss initial setup including hardware
needed, audio and midi recording, application of plug-ins, softsynths
and mixdown. And you don't have to be a high end user, we can
start from square one basics. In the signup options area, please
mention if you are a beginner, intermediate or expert user. This
will help me zone in and gear my topics towards you. There
may be a minimal charge for the class, but we'll discuss that
later. I'm hoping I get a good response to this so that we can
get started soon. Thanks
This
project was recorded in Sonar using midi tracks from a Yamaha
MotifES Rack, a Roland XR88 loaded with expansion boards, and
some help with background vocals and vocoder parts from a Roland
VP550. A Yamaha 01x is used for my Audio/MIDI interface and
control surface. Oh and yes, that's me singing on a Behringer
B2 Pro Condenser Mic thru a Behringer Mic Pre.
All compression, EQ's and effects are standard Sonar supplied
plug-ins. Listen and enjoy!
